Philosophy
My bee colonies are traditionally and sustainably managed by me with a lot of passion and love.
Because nature and every single drop of our honey are very important for me.
The responsible and respectful treatment of nature, animals and humans is the foundation of Bora Bora Honey.
With my beekeeping, I stand for ecological, sustainable and small-scale agriculture
without genetic engineering (GMO and Pesticide free).
My work with and around the bees is carried out with full awareness, respectful, careful
handling and care for the animals and the environment. The needs of the bees are
perceived individually and based on that bees are treated respectively.
Thus, the needs and instincts of the bees determine the mode of operation.
I’m against industrialized beekeeping and for species – appropriate beekeeping.
What counts is to obtain the bee products 100% in-house with the highest level of
quality and animal welfare.
For me, my bees are more than just farm animals or insects. They are fascinating and
highly complex animals that, together with other pollinators, have been ensuring
fertility on our earth for millions of years. That is why I treat them with respect and
care. This includes a sensible operation and special knowledge.
I only do the most necessary interventions on the bee colonies which are carefully considered, planned and
carried out – in order to disturb the bees as little as possible. If you would like to know
more about bees and their arthropathy and/or if you have any questions, please don’t
hesitate to contact me.

About me
May I introduce myself?
My name is Maja and I am the face behind Bora Bora Honey.
I’m a professional pedagoge/childminder and Montessori teacher who discovered the passion for these amazing and fascinating creatures. Since then, beekeeping has become one of my favorite activities and thus simple curiosity turned into pure passion.
My mission is to share my beekeeping knowledge and to do something good for our nature and health.
